CadreSports Powers the Nagpur Grand Slam Pickleball League 2026

1 September 20264 min read

Pickleball in India is no longer a curiosity — it is one of the fastest-growing racquet sports in the country. But competitive infrastructure has not kept pace with demand. Most cities lack organised league-format play. Nagpur is changing that.

The Nagpur Grand Slam Pickleball League (NGSPL) 2026 is a professionally structured, franchise-based pickleball league bringing together 12 franchise teams and 100+ players for five days of competitive action from 7th to 11th October 2026. CadreSports is the technology platform powering the entire operation.

A franchise league, built for scale

NGSPL is not a weekend tournament. It is a structured league with franchise ownership, professional player auctions, league-stage group competition, knockout rounds, and a Grand Finale — the full arc of competitive sport, compressed into five high-intensity days.

Player Auction

A structured draft system where franchise owners bid for players — creating balanced, competitive rosters across all 12 teams.

League Stage

Round-robin group play across two groups, with seven rubbers per tie including Pro Singles, Ace + Queen Doubles, and the Dreambreaker.

Knockouts & Grand Finale

Top teams advance to elimination rounds culminating in the Grand Finale — a single match to crown the champion.

On-Ground Production

Dedicated matchday production, digital content, player engagement activities, and a full spectator experience.

What CadreSports brings to the table

Running a franchise league with 12 teams and 100+ players requires more than spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups. Every match needs live scoring. Every player needs a profile. Every franchise owner needs real-time standings. Every spectator needs a way to follow along.

CadreSports handles all of it — registration, fixture generation, live scoring, automated WhatsApp notifications, player profiles with Cadre ID, standings with custom points systems, and live streaming through CadreTV. One platform, zero operational friction.

For NGSPL, the league uses a custom points system — 3 points for a tie win, 0 for a loss, with total rubbers won as the tiebreaker. Seven rubbers per tie, each with a distinct identity: Pro Singles, Ace + Queen Doubles, 35+ Doubles, Ace Singles, Ace Doubles, Pro + Ace Doubles, and the Dreambreaker. All configured and managed through the platform.

Every player gets an identity

One of the less visible but more consequential features of running on CadreSports is that every player who participates in NGSPL receives a permanent digital sports identity. A unique Cadre ID, a shareable profile with match history and stats, and a QR code that links to their profile — all of it persists beyond the league.

For players, this means their performance in NGSPL becomes part of a growing record. For franchise owners evaluating talent for future seasons, it provides data. For the sport itself, it creates a layer of infrastructure that did not exist before.

Building pickleball infrastructure in Central India

NGSPL is significant not just for what it delivers in October, but for what it represents. Nagpur is emerging as a hub for organised sport beyond cricket, and pickleball is at the centre of that shift. A franchise-based league with professional production, structured competition, and digital infrastructure sets a benchmark for how the sport can grow in tier-2 cities across India.

CadreSports is proud to power NGSPL 2026. From the first auction pick to the final point of the Grand Finale, every moment will be captured, scored, and shared — on one platform, for every player, franchise, and fan.
